Martinez-on-Martinez crime: A Puerto Rican has been arrested for killing a bread deliveryman with a sniper rifle in Brooklyn

Father-of-two Jorge Martinez, 39, was shot dead in his van while doing his rounds in September 2010, but the gunman could not be found. Now Anthony Martinez, 24, has been accused of the crime, and was deported from Puerto Rico to New York to stand trial. The gunman, who is not related to the victim, is believed to have been one of several people taking random potshots from a roof in the Gravesend neighborhood. A total of 22 shell casings from three different guns were found on the roof, but the other two gunmen have not yet been found. Martinez was tracked down in Puerto Rico after police investigating the case received a tip-off. The victim lived in Queens, having moved to the United States from his native Ecuador in 2003.
